A great introductory book and an easy to read one. The video tutorials are excellent. For the most part, if you go through these video tutorials, you don’t have to read the book. There are a few cases where the book provided more details, or the steps in the book differ from what’s there in the video. Overall, I recommend this one if you are starting out on cs4 and need something basic. On the other hand, if you are looking for some advanced techniques, you need to look elsewhere.

I am a novice Photoshop user but I think this book is very informational. I have two monitors on my computer so I can read the lessons (or watch the videos) on the CD provided files on one monitor and use Photoshop on the other. The lessons are well thought out and easy to follow along with little tid bits along the way in the form of keyboard shortcuts. I think this book will give anyone a good start to learning Photoshop.

This book is the alternative of Adobe Photoshop Classroom in a Book. It presents the information is a different way.

I have this book and the Adobe text. They each accomplish the goal of understanding. I think either will get you there.

This is a great product!!! I don’t work for this company.I will say, the review that was the most harmful review on this product was wrongful and useless. Don’t ALL manuals combine ALL models in similarity? This product is GREAT with the exception of your demeaning review. Ever read one of your appliance manuals???…your too stupid I guess, huh…just sit in an office chair and bitch when something is too difficult for your “educated beyond your intellegence” abilities. This set is great & I really hate people that tear apart a product for wrongful reasons.
